Project Summary: NASA Student Launch Initiative was my first project with the UCF collegiate rocketry team, KXR. I became the telemetry lead due to my interest in electrical systems and software.
Breadboard prototyping the flight computer.
Sub-scale Flight: Soldering flight computer onto perf board, assembling the nosecone with avionics.
Launching the Sub-scale rocket. Out in the launch field, establishing a connection with the onboard avionics.
Design of custom PCB for full-scale flight.
Fully assembled flight computer on a custom PCB. Ground station interconnect soldered on perf board.
Loading software onto flight computer
Designed a custom ogive nosecone to be made out of fiberglass, machining the nose tip out of aluminium.
Sub-system leads presenting to NASA advisory board for the Critical Design Review.
